Overview

Behavioral Health Specialists are part of a multidisciplinary team that provides mental health treatment to clients in our evaluation & treatment facilities. Working within a trauma-informed environment, you will assess clients’ needs and facilitate educational groups to prepare clients for outpatient treatment.

Your Role as a Behavioral Health Specialist

As part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team of professionals, you will provide individualized treatment and coordinate a comprehensive discharge plan that emphasizes community resources and family support. Excellent communication skills, the ability to build rapport quickly with people of all backgrounds, and a collaborative attitude are essential. You must be able to facilitate group counselling and skills-building sessions, as well as working collaboratively with clients on illness management techniques. Five years of experience providing behavioral health treatment is essential.
