Welcome Kamran Khatri!
Division Chief of Nursing
We are excited to welcome Kamran Khatri as Comprehensive Healthcare’s new Division Chief of Nursing – a leadership role that will shape the future of nursing across our organization.
Kamran brings with him a rich and diverse background in healthcare that spans clinical practice, operational leadership, and business development. His journey began in the operating room of a level-one trauma center, where he specialized in gynecological and robotic surgeries as a nurse. From there, he pursued his education as a Family Nurse Practitioner and began serving underserved communities in Chicago through home health care.
“You learn to become very confident when you’re out on your own,” Kamran shared. “You’re seeing patients sometimes on 20 or 30 medications, trying to balance everything for them in a 30 to 45-minute visit. It was an amazing learning experience.”
That hands-on experience eventually led Kamran into clinic management, where he rapidly moved from Assistant Director to Center Director, overseeing dramatic growth, tripling the clinic’s patient population, and expanding services into women’s health. He later became a Regional Director, managing multiple clinics across Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. While pursuing his MBA, Kamran joined Mendota Health, leading a multi-state mobile wound care program focused on vulnerable populations, including homebound patients and those in long-term care.
“My whole career has been about serving underserved populations,” Kamran said. “When I interviewed with Comprehensive, I could see that same passion in everyone I met. From the medical directors to the CEO, everyone cares deeply, and it was incredible to see.”
As Division Chief of Nursing, Kamran is excited to build stronger connections between our facilities and teams.
“One of my key goals is to get everybody on the same page,” he explained. “Our facilities are spread out, and so I want to be that connecting role that brings everyone together and standardizes protocol as much as we can across the board. That includes things like the EHR rollout and upcoming expansions.”
Kamran’s experience leading clinical operations across large, multi-site regions uniquely positions him for this role. He sees himself as a connector—someone who understands the needs of frontline clinical teams and the goals of organizational leadership.
“Sometimes there’s a disconnect between what makes sense from an operational perspective and what works on the ground,” he said. “Because I’ve been on both sides, I can help find solutions that work well across the board.”
Kamran describes his leadership style as collaborative, open-minded, and empathetic. “I always try to put myself in others’ shoes,” he said. “I want to listen to the feedback from the team with an open mind and an open ear, and use that to inform solutions.”
Outside of work, Kamran is passionate about health and wellness. As an avid gym-goer who tries to make it in at least five times a week, Kamran has found the practice to be a great form of stress relief. “It’s become a big part of my life. And I like to eat, so it’s a nice balance,” he laughed.
He’s also deeply interested in the investment and financial world, staying current on global trends and market shifts.
Kamran’s first day is May 12th, and we eagerly await his arrival. Please join us in warmly welcoming Kamran Khatri, Division Chief of Nursing!
