Meet Dave Mall

Dave Mall has joined the Comprehensive Healthcare team, and we are so glad to have him on board! With a career spanning decades, Dave brings a wealth of experience to the team and is passionate about creating positive and supportive environments for employees and clients.

Dave’s career in healthcare began in 2000 after owning his own HVAC business. Over the next 12 years, he honed his skills in the industry, growing with the company as much as he could before moving on to new opportunities. “My boss said to me at the time, you’re ready to move up, but you can’t do it here because I’m not going anywhere,” Dave recalled, laughing at the memory. “He told me to go find myself a job, so that’s what I did.”

Dave’s journey took him to Indiana, where he assisted in commissioning a new hospital, and later to Loma Linda University Medical Center. “It was a huge system- over 3 million square feet spread across 26 miles,” he says. This experience helped Dave understand the complexities of large healthcare facilities and prepared him for leadership roles in facilities management.

After several years in California, Dave and his wife returned to the Pacific Northwest, where Dave took a position as the Director of Facilities at a medical center in Walla Walla. In 2019, Dave transitioned to a role with Remedi8, where he functioned in interim director roles at various hospitals throughout the country to help stabilize their operations during leadership transitions.

Dave’s depth and breadth of experiences eventually led him to be sought out for the role of Senior Vice President of Facilities at Comprehensive Healthcare. When asked what led him to accept the position, Dave felt he couldn’t turn the opportunity down. “I’ve been in many hospitals and healthcare communities, but Comprehensive Healthcare really impressed me,” Dave shared, recalling the decision. “I was impressed by the people here. Everyone is so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. It was the first time I’d been in a place where everyone really wants to make things better – not just for the clients but for the employees too.”

Dave is eager to make an impact at Comprehensive Healthcare. “I’m excited to be a part of a team that’s working to make a difference,” he says. He’s enthusiastic about contributing to the organization’s evolving goals and growth. “If I can take some pressure off and help things run more smoothly, I’m all in.”

When he’s not overseeing facilities operations, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren at their lake home in Newport, Washington. He’s an avid motorcycle rider and a Harley fan. He also enjoys fishing and other outdoor activities with his grandkids. “I’m looking forward to working with everyone here,” says Dave. “I’m excited to get to know everyone and be part of this great community.”
