Cassidy Brown Joins NAMI Washington Board of Directors

We are delighted to announce that Cassidy Brown, our Director of Marketing and Communications, has been nominated to the NAMI Washington board of directors! NAMI was searching for someone with extensive marketing experience and a connection to mental health, and Cassidy was a perfect fit.

Cassidy is optimistic about increasing awareness of NAMI’s work and impact across Washington state. She aims to improve communication with communities about NAMI’s services and how the organization can support those in need. Additionally, she hopes to build NAMI’s understanding of our organization’s services, creating opportunities for collaboration that benefit both organizations and the communities they serve.

This partnership will bring representation from Eastern Washington and serve as another channel for our communities’ voices to be heard. “The needs of Seattle are different from the needs in our communities. I am grateful for the opportunity to utilize my communications expertise and bring that to NAMI Washington to bring more light to the mental health settings we face in Eastern Washington,” says Cassidy.

One of her goals is to increase visibility for Comprehensive Healthcare across the state. She aims to showcase our community services and explore opportunities for broader partnerships with NAMI, extending beyond our local NAMI chapters. “As I was conversing with some people at NAMI, it was shocking to hear that they had never heard of Comprehensive Healthcare and what we do. It then became clear that one of my goals while on the board of directors was to bring visibility to our organization,” says Cassidy.

Cassidy will begin her three-year term starting in mid-November. “I am excited to fulfill this new role and look forward to further partnering with NAMI at the state level. I hope to bring new resources to our organization and our communities.”
