Natalie McGillen Steps into New Role

Chief Officer of Special Projects

As Comprehensive Healthcare prepares for Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) readiness, Natalie McGillen has assumed the key role of Chief Officer of Special Projects. She will guide our efforts to ensure success with the competitive Washington State RFP process in 2025, allowing us to become a CCBHC organization.

“We needed someone to lead and inform this change as part of our leadership team,” noted Jodi Daly, PhD, CEO of Comprehensive Healthcare. “Natalie’s experience adds tremendous value to our CCBHC readiness efforts. She has participated in national technical assistance workgroups, facilitated meetings with the National Council of Wellbeing, and engaged in the Washington State Collaborative workgroup, all of which have deepened our understanding of the CCBHC model’s criteria.” Natalie has also presented the CCBHC model, as it relates to Comprehensive Healthcare’s journey, at conferences.

Chief of Staff Taylor Stormo echoed this, adding, “The new Chief of Special Projects role enhances our leadership team’s ability to execute strategic initiatives.” With her depth of experience, Natalie will ensure that CCBHC implementation isn’t just a stand-alone project but one fully integrated with Comprehensive’s long-term strategy, impacting client access, care quality, and funding sustainability.

For Natalie, implementing the CCBHC model is a chance to connect Comprehensive’s departments under a unified, client-centered approach to care. “I’m excited about the opportunity to move forward with the CCBHC model, which really impacts all departments,” she shared. Her work will bring this model to life across all of Comprehensive Healthcare’s sites, ensuring that services align seamlessly with state and federal standards.
“Appointing Natalie to this position aligns with the Board’s goal of thoughtfully structuring our organization in line with the strategic plan,” added Taylor. “Her ability to coordinate across leadership levels and engage front-line staff is crucial for the model’s success, enabling the organization to meet key benchmarks such as improved access, enhanced care quality, and sustainable funding.”

Comprehensive Healthcare’s vision is to be fully CCBHC-ready within two years, aligning every aspect of the agency’s care system to deliver integrated, whole-person care. Flexibility will be crucial as Natalie leads the implementation of the CCBHC model across all sites, even those without current CCBHC contracts. “Two years seems like a lot of time, but it’s really not. Things will move quickly,” she noted, emphasizing the importance of adaptability as Washington advances toward becoming a CCBHC-certified state.

Natalie is eager to see the CCBHC model mature and take root throughout Comprehensive Healthcare. “This role, in collaboration with leadership, is about having a bigger impact – transforming our systems, not just managing a grant or program,” she stated.

We believe that this appointment and investment in the leadership team will support our journey toward CCBHC readiness and foster a more effective team environment.
