Aspen Giving Tree
A Season of Generosity and Hope
The holiday season at Comprehensive Healthcare was brighter than ever thanks to the incredible generosity of our staff who participated in Aspen Victim Advocacy Services’ annual Giving Tree program. This initiative ensures that children impacted by crime experience the joy of receiving gifts during the holidays, a gesture that means the world to families facing hardship.
Starting in late November, ornaments representing individual children were placed on the Giving Tree in the Yakima Center staff lounge. Each ornament included a wish list, and employees were invited to select an ornament, purchase and wrap gifts, then return them to Aspen by December 8. This simple act of kindness brought smiles to children who might otherwise have gone without gifts this season.
In 2025, Aspen identified 31 families and 117 children with true need who could benefit from the program. Thanks to last-minute additions, the final count reached 120 children, and every single one of those children was supported! Not every child or family in the Aspen program participated; only those with the greatest need were included.
For many of these children, Giving Tree gifts were the only presents they received. The relief and gratitude expressed by families and the advocates that care for them is extraordinary and a powerful reminder of what community and compassion can achieve.
Thank You!
To everyone who participated, whether by selecting an ornament, teaming up with coworkers, or spreading the word, thank you for making this holiday season special for so many. Your kindness and support truly made a difference.
