Terryl Goeckler's Retirement Reflections

After a remarkable career in healthcare and revenue operations, Terryl Goeckler is stepping into retirement—a moment filled with pride, gratitude, and reflection for all who have worked alongside her.

A Journey of Dedication
Terryl began her healthcare career in Walla Walla as an account representative in billing and accounts receivable, becoming a manager by age 25. She then moved to Yakima to serve as Administrator for Central Washington Orthopedic Clinic, a role that brought her to town and allowed her to gain leadership experience in multiple specialties.

Following that, she spent 25 years with Memorial Hospital and Memorial Physicians, where she administered a lab, X-ray, and walk-in clinic, in addition to managing Family Practice, Neurosurgery, ENT, and GI clinics. She also developed auditing teams, taught coding curriculum for the American Academy of Professional Coders in Yakima and Seattle, and served as Revenue Operations Director.

Throughout her career, Terryl embraced opportunities to step into critical roles, turn around operations, and support staff growth—all with curiosity, dedication, and a passion for learning.

Teamwork and Legacy
Terryl’s most memorable moments at Comprehensive Healthcare came during weekly AR team meetings, where collaboration, problem-solving, and laughter often went hand in hand. Even during challenging times, her team stayed positive, supported one another, and genuinely enjoyed working together.

She hopes to be remembered for inspiring others to set goals, take pride in their work, treat everyone with respect, and give credit where it is due—acknowledging the ideas, efforts, and successes of others. Terryl has mentored many staff into leadership roles, helping them develop the skills to succeed. She is especially proud of her Revenue Cycle Department team—Aimee Miranda, Carolyn Pierson, Crystal Ochoa, Liz Fernandez, Kathy Callahan, Trisha Cervantes, Valerie Aucutt, and Amy Rummelhart—for their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.

The Next Chapter
Retirement means no more alarm clocks—and more time for family, friends, golf, bike riding, gardening, traveling, and making the most of her White Pass ski pass.

“I plan to join the group of retired skiers who can be found at High Camp on weekdays!”

Terryl is also excited to dive back into creative hobbies, including making dichroic jewelry pieces in her kiln and working with leather.

“I envision this next chapter being full of wonderful times with family and friends, the joy of being spontaneous, and the freedom to do all the things I love.”

Congratulations, Terryl, on a remarkable career and best wishes for a joyful, fulfilling retirement!
